Built in November 2013 with a mass renovation in 2023, Garden Bay Classic Cruise is a traditional local carrier-oriented cruiser that brings its own beauty and comfort to Bai Tu Long Bay. Charming style, friendly helpful staff, and engaging itinerary are what this cruiser can bring to its guests.
With an average capacity of 30 guests, this budget cruise has 14 cozy cabins with huge sea-view windows and modern bathrooms, some of which even have a private balcony. There is also a spacious 240m2 sundeck, an elegant restaurant, and experienced crews to ensure that your voyage is as enjoyable as possible.

- Children under 5 years old: free of charge if sharing a cabin with parents without extra bed. Baby Cot is free of charge but subject to availability of the travel date.
- Children from 5 to below 8 years old: 50% charge if sharing bed with parents, or 75% if extra bed is requiring.
- Children from 8 to below 11 years old: 75% charge if sharing bed with parent, or 100% charge if extra bed is requiring.
- Two children under 11 years old sharing a private cabin are charged at 75% of full cabin rate.
- Children from 11 years old: full charge as adults’ rate.
- More than 21 days before check-in: FREE of charge
- From 11 to 20 days before check-in: 30% of total rates
- From 7 to 10 days before check-in: 50% of total rates
- Less than 7 days before check-in & no Show: 100% of total rates
If the cancellation be announced by the Management Board of Halong Bay, depend on the timing of the cancellation, following policies will be applied:
- Before departure from Hanoi to Halong Bay (none of the services has been used): 100% refund.
- During the trip (some services have been used: transfer, lunch, day trip, hotel in Halong, etc.): used services will be charged, the rest will be refunded.
- The trip be cut down from 2 nights to 1 night, tourists will be charged a 2 days/1 night trip, plus other used services, the rest will be refunded.
- The final cost will be confirmed by your consultant via email. In all cases, please contact us directly for any urgent help. We are here to support you with all of our best!
Cruise Itinerary
8:00 - 8:30 | Transfer from Hanoi
If using the shuttle service (extra fee needed), a driver will pick you up at your hotel in Hanoi, and transfer you to Halong International Harbor.
12:15 - 12:30 | Check in - Embark
Upon arriving at Halong Harbor, you have a short time to relax before getting on a tender boat to reach Garden Bay Classic Cruise. Enjoy your welcome drinks when embarking, listen to the safety briefing then check in your cabin.
Later, you will have a delicious Vietnamese Set Menu lunch while the junk boat cruises leisurely to the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay, Cap La.

In the afternoon, you will kayak to discover the most breathtaking natural scenery of limestone islands and islets in the Cap La area. Or else, you can simply swim, sunbathe, and relax on the stunning beach here.

Happy Hour - Cooking Class
Afterward, we get back to Garden Bay Classic and have free time. You can join the Happy Hour offer or take part in the cooking class to learn how to make traditional Vietnamese cuisine.
Have Dinner - Leisure time
In the evening, guests enjoy a sumptuous BBQ dinner on the sundeck (Available from October) or in the restaurant. Then, it’s your free time to relax, play board games, or squid fishing.

Tai Chi Class - Breakfast
You can wake up early in the morning for a Tai Chi exercise on the sundeck. Then, have a light breakfast with Western-style dishes to get ready.
Visit Vung Vieng Village
Today, the ship cruises toward the most beautiful fishing village in Bai Tu Long Bay, which is Vung Vieng floating village. Let’s get on the rowing boat (rowed by the fisherman) to explore this charming place and learn about the local fishing life.

Later, we back to Garden Bay Classic Cruise for the trip back to the harbor on a different route. Around 09:30, check out of your cabin then have brunch onboard (Fusion style).

As we reach Halong Harbor, disembark the ship and back to the waiting lounge for the trip back to Hanoi (the transfer service needs an extra fee).
14:30 - 15:00 | Drop-off at your hotel in Hanoi

For those who book the transfer service (extra fee needed), wait for your driver at your hotel in Hanoi and travel to Halong International Harbor.

When you get to Garden Bay’s waiting lounge on the pier, you will have a short time to relax before transferring to the cruise ship on a tender. Upon boarding, enjoy a welcome drink and listen to the safety briefing.
Then, check in your cabin before having a delicious Vietnamese Set Menu as the ship cruises leisurely to Cap La at the heart of Bai Tu Long Bay.

We will discover the majestic Cap La area by kayaking in the afternoon. Let’s discover the marvelous natural scenery of limestone islands and islets or simply swim and sunbathe on a pristine beach.

Activities At Dusk
After returning to Garden Bay Classic, guests can join the Sunset party on the sundeck while the boat is cruising to the Cong Do area to anchor overnight. Enjoy the Happy Hour or taking a Vietnamese cooking class are also recommended.

In the evening, guests can have a sumptuous BBQ dinner on the Sundeck (available from October, if it’s not raining). Then, free time to relax, try squid fishing, or play board games.

You can wake up early to participate in the Tai Chi session on the sundeck. Afterward, have breakfast to refill your energy.
Explore the Tung Sau area
We transfer to the day boat and start cruising through Bai Tu Long Bay to the heart of Halong Bay, then continue toward the Tung Sau area where you can visit the pearl farm and learn about pearl farming amid the sea.

Next, you will have a kayaking trip to discover the magnificent landscape surrounding Trinh Nu Cave with the breathtaking natural scenery of limestone islands.

Lunchtime
As guests return to the day boat, enjoy a tasty lunch with seafood grilled and Vietnamese delicacies while the boat cruises back to Bai Tu Long by a different route.
Back to the main ship
Stay on the day boat and we start cruising through Halong Bay, pass by the Trong cave area, get back to the mother boat, relax, and continue cruising back to the Cong Do overnight area.
Free time on board - Dinner
Garden Bay Classic anchors at Cong Do, now you can enjoy your leisure time, and join some activities that you missed on the first day. Then, have dinner and chill out.

Travel on a day boat on the 2nd day
Tai Chi - Have Breakfast
Take a deep breath of the fresh morning air, and start your day with a Tai Chi session on the terrace. Then, have breakfast and get ready for the day.
Have a trip to Vung Vieng Village
Let’s transfer to Vung Vieng Fishing Village by tender. Visitors will get on the rowing boat rowed by the locals to explore the area with pretty floating houses and learn about the local fisherman lifestyle.

Check out & Have Brunch
After the village excursion, we back to the main boat to relax for a bit then checked out at around 9:30. As the cruise ship returns to the harbor by a different route, having your brunch in fusion style.
